Months ago, The Conran Shop declared it was launching a great value and recession-friendly range this summer. Whoops of joy from the mydeco office resonated around Notting Hill. The day for unveiling has finally come…

Launched today, the ‘Well Considered‘ range didn’t disappoint in design terms but don’t expect serious budget prices.

Look out for the wine glass set of four (£14.95), mohair throw (£14.95), the cheese grater light (£29), the Bentwood chair (£95) and the Fifties-style Javier Mariscal illustrated packaging.

Simple yet intelligent and effective are the key words flying around The Conran Shop offices. ‘To design something fashionable does not mean it should be gimmicked up,’ said Sir Terence Conran referring to the new range. ‘Now, more than ever, affordability and simplicity are key values.”
